Lovely Picasso lived here on Lauvstua until he was 18 months old, then the family who owned Lauvstuas Zicho Zaphyr lost their dog in a carcrash and Picasso moved to their home in Ålesund. Unfortunelately Picasso was not healthy. When he was 6 months old he suddenly started to limp on one of his feet, it turned out to be an infection caused by a dog tick. He was treated for 2 weeks, but after two weeks more the problems came back. Now he was treatet for a long time, but he never recovered as he should. He got problems with his stomack and was not eating much. The vet said he was 99 % sure it was cancer, but we said it was an injury caused by the tick. Picasso was put to sleep at an age of almost 3 years and they did a post-mortem. That showed no cancer, but an infection in his pancreaticjuice gland, probably caused by the tick.
