In July 2006 we decided to inseminate Zamantha with the frozen, imported seman after american Chesagrove's Star Gazer. Riverbreeze kennel in Sweden tryed without any luck the year before , and in august it was clear that Zamantha was'nt pregnant either.
Zamantha turned 7 years in October and we wanted to do a last try, both for Zamantha and the seamen.
Before this, we had checked with other breeders who has inseminated with frozen seamen with success. They said we should be as close to a value of 60 as possible. After several bloodtests the insemination was made at a value of between 55 and 60. The vet was'nt too optimistic, so we just had to wait and really hope.
Yesterday it was time for the ultrasonic, and believe it or not, Zamantha is pregnant. We expect the puppies to arrive about the 16th of April.

Zamantha and Star are both DNA-tested to A (Normal).
Star has both champion, hunting and obidience titles.

The puppies arrived 19th of April, two males, but because of complications during the birth only one of them survived. It's a beautiful, dark male with white markings. His weight was 300 gr, but during two days he has gained 100 gr, so everything seems normal. He will be called Star.

Time has passed and Star is now 8 week, this weekend he will be leaving for his new home in Sweden.
