We had so many hopes for beautyful Bizzie, but the light was blown out much to early.
When she was 11 month old she got some alarming symptomes
with stiffness in her hind quarters.
After a lof of bloodtest we got the answer, Bizzie had SLE. She was on medications for a while, but the symptomes came back. Cicilie made up her mind and at an age of 15 months Bizzie was put to sleep.
But more was going to happen, first Frøya, then Bella got the same symptomes. Frøya did'nt respond good on the medication either and to our sadness, also Frøys was put to sleep, 19 months old.
Bella is still alive, only time will show how it goes.....
Since we started breeding in 1995, we have had 10 litter and so far only had one case of autoimmune disease. And then in litter 11 this problems occur.
As a friend of us are saying, it you keep on breeding, at the end you would have had it all, also thing you never knew existed......
During Bizzies sickness we were in contact with Helene Hamlin on SLU in Uppsala. She wanted a bloodtest of all littermates and the parents. We then took contact with the owners and they all sent the bloodtests to SLU.Thank you all for helping.
It it with great sadness we are writing this, two georgious girls as Bizzie and Frøysa should live, not be put to sleep at this age. Hopefull they now are playing together.........
Over the Rainbow bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pets goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our spcial friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who has been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finially meets, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hand again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge...together....
