October 2003:
In 1997 our Anya had her second litter, and we kept a bitch - Lauvstuas Janis Joplin. Unfortunately Janis had HD, so she couldn't be used for breeding. But Janis' sisters were all healthy, and two of them, Julie (NUCH Lauvstuas Julie Fox) and Micro (NUCH Lauvstuas Jøye Meg) became champions. So since Janis couldn't be used for breeding, we planned to get a bitch puppy after Julie. Julie was bred to NUCH Sunlit Kevin McTawish, father to Lauvstuas first litter, and the combination was very interesting. But things do not always turn out the way you want them to, and out of the two puppies born, only a male survived. But when Julie had her second litter the summer of 2003, she gave birth to three males and one bitch. And the choice was easy - we had to have her!
Foxy Pollyanna Ayr moved to Lauvstua in October 2003, and some people had trouble understanding why we would buy a puppy instead of keeping one from our own breeding. But we have waited a long time for this girl, and so far she's definitely been worth waiting for.
December 2003:
Polly is 4 months old now, and she's absolutely adorable! She's very confident and has a wonderful temperament. Our older bitches all do their share of the work: Zamantha is raising her, Shakira plays with her and Kazita does whatever she needs to do.
Both Polly's parents have tested A on the PRA DNA-test, so Polly and her brothers are also genotype A. Polly will attend her first show in February 2004, and we'll also train her and attend some courses with her in 2004. We look forward to raising this dreamgirl.
December 2006:
Polly is now 3 years and 4 months old, she is still an active girl, ready to play whenever she can and still she is adorable.
She has been to several confimations shows, has both res. CC and CC in Norway and Sweden, but also some blue ribbon....
She had started on an unofficial dummytest where she got a 2nd prize.
But there has been a lot of work to do. She loves to retrieve and everything she does is full speed ahead. The problem had been coming back with the dummy, expecially when knowing it's more dummies out in the field. Fortunelately, it's getting better and now she even returns.
We have also entered several obidienceclasses and different activities with her, also worked with retrieving and game tracking.
Now this autumn we did some game trackings again, and now the power of consentration is much better. She worked very well and hopefully we can start on contests next year.
But before that something else will happend.
Polly will be mated in january 2007.... continuation follows
Juli 2009:
The mating resulted in 7 puppies who now are two years old. Two are already showchampions, two more need one more cc to be champions.
The whole litter has been healthy, they are good workers and have a very nice temper. 4 out of 7 has had their hips and elbows checked, the rest will also be checked.
Pollys last litter was born i january 2009, now they are almost 6 months old. So far so good with them also.
We will probably mate Polly once more, but we will se how it goes with her offspring first.
